Black Star was cloudy but fun…
Please note on your calendars – the August General Meeting has been moved to the first Friday night in August, August 4, 2006, because of the AstroImage 2006 Conference, which starts on August 11 (which would be our usual meeting night). It will still be at 7:30 in the Irvine Auditorium in the Hashinger Science Building at Chapman University.
Hear a free lecture at UCI about humankind’s place in the cosmos from Professor Joel Primack, UC Santa Cruz and Nancy Abrams, former Fullbright scholar.
The next Board meeting is Sunday, 5/7/06, at 5:30 p.m., with the usual pre-meeting potluck at 5:00. All members are welcome to attend, but please contact Bob Buchheim or Barbara Toy in advance if you plan to come. To see the proposed Agenda, please click on the title to this article. The Agenda may be modified, so please check back for any changes.
Blackstar was cloudy April 22…but guests were entertained.
The Star Party on 4/29/06 is also a formal Anza Site Clean-Up Day – come early and help us get our viewing site in shape to withstand the fire season and cleaned up so we all can enjoy it!
See you there!
Due to two consecutive rain out dates, the Messier Marathon will now take place at the next star party on April 29.
