The OCA offers Beginner’s classes to both members and non members. Classes meet on the first Friday of most months.
First BSC star party of 2013 was very cold but we had 9 brave souls come out even though there was some overcast skies.
Come on out to our first 2013 star party at Black Star Canyon. You can’t go wrong as it is nearby and always friendly.
We only had 11 cars come out to Black Star this past Saturday evening, even though skies were dark and clear.
If the Mayan calendar is correct, this will be the last BSC star party ever!?
If it doesn’t rain or get cloudy, we should have dark skies for the scheduled star party.

Getting dark early gives us more time to observe the night sky at Black Star Canyon. We are expecting good weather and moderate temperatures.
Was warm, and best star party ever with 70% cloud cover…25 cars showed up and we had some good viewing!
