It was overcast last Saturday evening and the only thing I could see at 7:30 PM was the sun setting and then it too was hidden by clouds.
Looks like the June Gloom may clear up this Saturday so we can hold another fun star party at nearby BSC.
There will be a special meeting of the OCA Board this Sunday, 6/14/09. This is at the usual time, 5:30, with the pre-meeting potluck at 5:00, and will be at the Lockheed Martin facility in Irvine. We had 56+ people at the star party Saturday evening including 10 Nature Conservancy guests and 10 guests from the Santiago Canyon Astronomy course Hassi teaches. It was a mild evening and everyone seemed to have a great time.
We should have a good crowd Saturday night if the weather stays warm and the sky stays clear.
