General Meetings
The OCA has a general meeting held on the second Friday of every month* NOW at Orange Coast College.
These meetings are free and open to the general public.
The meetings take place in OCC Lecture Halls 1&2” of the “Orange Coast College,” next to the planetarium. This is to the North West side of the OCC Planetarium

It is paid parking - usually approx $5 + transaction fee per night.

First Time Attending
Plan to be there anytime between 7:00 and 7:30. During which a slideshow runs. The formal part of the meeting starts at 7:30

Speakers are often from JPL/Caltech and other major educational and astronomical institutions. The level of the talks are usually appropriate for anyone who has an interest in this hobby.9:15 PM - 9:30 PM Refreshments Break
Donuts, coffee and soda are available for a small donation.Library

Directions
From 5 Freeway South or North of 55
- Take 5 Freeway SOUTH Exit onto 55 Freeway
- Take 55 Freeway SOUTH to Fair Drive
- Turn WEST on Fair Drive (right off the freeway exit ramp)
- Take Fair Drive WEST to Fairview Rd
- Take Fairview Rd NORTH to the lights at Merrimac Way.
- Turn LEFT (WEST) on Merrimac Way
- Proceed to the entrance to Parking Lot E - turn RIGHT into the parking
- Find any parking NOT marked as STAFF/RESERVED
From 57 Freeway North of the 5
- Take 57 Freeway SOUTH towards Costa Mesa. You will pass the 5, 405 and the 73 freeways
- Turn WEST on Fair Drive (right off the freeway exit ramp)
- Take Fair Drive WEST to Fairview Rd
- Take Fairview Rd NORTH to the lights at Merrimac Way.
- Turn LEFT (WEST) on Merrimac Way
- Proceed to the entrance to Parking Lot E - turn RIGHT into the parking
- Find any parking NOT marked as STAFF/RESERVED
