M83, an 8th-magnitude spiral galaxy in Hydra.

M83 is estimated to lie about 10 million light-years away. It is one of the largest and brightest galaxies of the southern sky. Imaged by John Sanford at OCA Anza Observatory, using a C-14 telescope and Starlight Xpress CCD camera.
