M64, the Blackeye Galaxy, an 8th mag. spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices.
This galaxy is noted for the prominent dark cloud of dust wrapped around its nucleus, from which it gets its nickname. 30-second exposure, 18 November 1995 at 14:11 UT.
