I am very pleased to have been given
the opportunity to serve the club as its President for the
past two years. It has been a most rewarding experience. Thank
you OCA!
At the January meeting all of you
will have an opportunity to show your support of the members
who choose to help run the club for us all by casting your
votes. I would like to pass on my very best wishes and offer
of support to the next president of our club (very likely
to be Barbara Toy unless something really odd happens between
now and then)…
I would like to also thank all the
board members for your support over the past years.
Those of you who attended the December
meeting already know that the OCA Board presented an award
to Jim Benet. Jim has tirelessly given his time and efforts
over the past years to run our extensive and ever growing
outreach program. Thank you so much Jim!
Over the past several board meetings
we have been discussing ways to recognize the many members
who, through their extensive efforts, make the club what it
is today. We wanted to say "thank you" with something
that is more permanent than words alone convey. Board member
Bob Buchheim provided the design for the framed award that
was given to Jim - please see a copy below.
