Dr. Geoffrey Burbidge from University of California San Diego
Dr. Geoffrey Burbidge has made remarkable contributions to the development of modern astrophysics -- he was the lead co-author of "Synthesis of the
Elements in Stars" (the first complete description of stellar
nucleosynthesis), he worked closely with Sir Fred Hoyle on evaluation of
the "steady-state universe" hypothesis, and continues today to develop
surprising insights into cosmological models.
