| Dr. Spirock will speak on Solar Observing at BBSO. In his speech he will cover the technical aspects of topics such as:
A) Why Big Bear?
B) Full Disk High Resolution H-alpha observations.
C) High Resolution using Adaptive Optics.
D) High Resolution using High Cadence Vector Magnetograms.
E) Earthshine (Global Climate Change Project).
F) The 1.6 meter New Solar Telescope.
We will also be treated to the latest images and movies from BBSO.
Dr. Spirock has a B.S., a M.S. and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Newark College of Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is currently working on developing a robotic earthshine telescope for world wide earthshine network, and as a project engineer for a new dome on the solar observatory to replace the current one, as the current dome is too small to house the new solar telescope
A list of BBSO reports available through the OCA web site.
