Various OCA members
have been involved in astronomical discovery and research
for many years. Former club president Wayne Johnson has discovered
five supernovae. John Hoot has been working successfully in
the area of precision photometry and the determination of
asteroid rotational periods. Myke Collins and Minor White
are conducting a successful asteroid discovery program.

perfecting the capabilities of his Star Cruiser Observatory
at Anza to conduct asteroidal and other stellar research projects.
