Members of the OCA benefit from many club
sponsored activities ranging from;
- A Monthly
General Meeting (at Chapman University, open to the public)
- Two Monthly
Star Parties (open to members and their accompanied
guests)
- Special
Interest Groups (many with their own monthly meetings
and other related events)
- Outreach
Events (where club members take their telescopes to
area schools, libraries and other venues to share the astronimical
wonders of looking through a telescope with the public)
- Research Activities (various members are working on or have been working on a number
of very successful astronomical research projects such as
Asteriod discovery, Supernova discovery)
