OCA Membership There are several classes of membership in the Orange County Astronomers. You can choose the level that is most appropriate for you: You can sign up for membership at any club meeting or by sending in your application by mail with a check for the appropriate amount. Class Dues Period Description Regular $50 Yearly One year subscription to the club's newsletter, the Sirius Astronomer (12 issues). Discounts on subscriptions to Sky & Telescope and Astronomy magazines. Open to participate in all regular club activities (except special events, such as tours). Family Member $7 Yearly An add-on to Regular Membership -- each Regular Member can pay for additional family members at just $7 per person. Additional family members enjoy full regular membership benefits. Special $30 Yearly For students and retired persons. The benefits are the same as for Regular Members. Star Member $150 Lifetime (one-time payment) A special class of membership, which allows a member to operate the Kuhn Telescope. To qualify for Star Membership, you must be either a Regular member or a Life member. The following restrictions apply for use of the Kuhn Telescope: 1) The Star Member must be "certified" by the Scope Trainer before he/she may operate the telescope 2) Observatory/telescope must be 'booked' ahead of time with the Scope Scheduler. Life Member $500 Lifetime (one-time payment) Same as benefits of Regular membership, except that you become a fully-paid OCA member for life!   Membership Information Membership Application
