
Orange County Astronomers, the nation's largest local amateur
astronomy club, has a twenty acre observing site near Anza,
California. The site is 12 miles northeast of Palomar Observatory
at 4300 feet altitude and is conveniently located an average
of two hours driving time from North Orange County. The delicate
beauty of the California desert is evident in these photos of
redshank in bloom and a petite half inch high butterfly photographed
in July. OCA members are justifiably proud of our observing
